George Ryder Announced as Panelist for Get in the Game Symposium

George Ryder of Port Dover, ON is joining Softball Ontario’s Get in the Game Symposium – Coaches Corner and Pitch Perfect Session’s!

A fastball legend that earned his fame inside the pitcher’s circle, Ryder won a Juvenile B OASA Championship in Simcoe, before leading Caledonia to a Jr. A OASA title, just two years later. Other highlight’s of Ryder’s playing career includes a pair of ORSA Intermediate A title and two-time OASA Intermediate C and Intermediate A Provincial Championship Silver medals.

After Ryder retired, he turned his attention to coaching, where he coached for 17 years, winning five national titles, including a pair with the Jarvis Jrs. (2002, 2003), Team Ontario (2009, 2013) and most recently coaching Team Ontario to the 2017 Canada Games Championship. George also served as the Junior Men’s National Team’s pitching coach in 2014 and 2016.  George is proud to be a Softball Ontario Regional Pitching Instructor and a NCCP Competition-Development, Softball Coach.

We are thrilled to have such an important member of the Softball Ontario community join the lineup for the 10th Annual Get in the Game Symposium.
